I really wanted to use the Host WiFi mode but it only had some TruWitness garbage. Then I had stumbled upon the latest user manual that had different UI. This was the sign I needed. I instantly went to the FLIR support website to download the latest firmware. Once you apply the latest firmware update this thing is golden. Now I can stream to my phone with ~2-3s latency. If you try over your home WiFi you will find that it is complete garbage (do not recommend). Once you've been through the menu it becomes quick to get it up and running. I just wish I could default to having the host mode on when I power on the device. Save a few seconds of time to get the stream running. I also wish I could just plug it into a device and stream the video. An HDMI out would have been pretty killer. Also, the rechargeable battery pack is a must.
