I use it to sand irregularly shaped bowls. Much easier than using a Dremel-type tool and drill (batter or corded.) Some reviews question the durability of this shaft, but that's to be expected on something that is constantly flexing and rubbing against the inside of the sheath it is in. So fo, mine has not shown any signs of wearing out. If it does, I'll probably get another one of these (same manufacturer, same model.) ### ⭐⭐⭐ Better than the competition, but not ideal *by L***R on October 5, 2015* Works well, as long as it lasts, and it's pretty expensive for something I have to replace three or four times a year. I suppose I should be a little easier on it, but I'm not a big husky guy. It in combination with my right angle drive, i can reach anyrhing thing with my drill.
