## Description

HYDRO BAN Adhesive & Sealant is a one component, fast curing, hybrid elastomeric adhesive and sealant. This product is specifically formulated to meet today’s Green Building Standards and has excellent adhesion on a wide variety of substrates. For use with HYDRO BAN Pre-Sloped Shower Pan, HYDRO BAN Preformed Seat, HYDRO BAN Board, HYDRO BAN Preformed Niche, HYDRO BAN Pre-Sloped Ramp, HYDRO BAN Preformed Curb and HYDRO BAN Preformed Curb Overlay.

A bit pricey BUT, worth the cost to have a job turn out well. If it is your first time using this product, you might want to get a little professional advice first. It is the only brand I would use .
Review: Hydroban is a great system - Used this in joints between hydroban board in tub surround, niche, and window. It’s silane, not polyurethane or silicone. If you’re ordering on desertcart you probably didn’t buy enough sealant initially, like me. I ended up buying 5 tubes total for this project. I used a lot around the window, maybe too much, but I’d rather be safe. Buy extra putty knives, this stuff is sticky. Don’t countersink your screws too much or you’ll end up using more sealant. All in all, nice to work with, good seal, easy to tool, just be sure you buy enough the first time so you’re not delayed by the shipping.

**Q: Does Hydro Ban liquid waterproofing stick to this sealant?**
A: Yes, the Hydro Ban Sealant is designed to be be used with Hydroban Waterproofing Paint-On Membrane (Amazon item # B003CZIHR8).

**Q: My curved bathtub has gaps where the vinyl floor was installed. can i use this to fill in the gaps between floor and tub? space is .25" at most. tks.**
A: We would instead recommend Laticrete Latasil 100% Silicone caulk for that application, giving you a flexible seal that's available in all 40 Laticrete colors.  Thank you

**Q: Can I use hydro ban adhesive & sealant to install densShield backer board?**
A: It's not made for that but I would think it should work. I would personally still apply Hydraban liquid or Aquadefense to the corners and seams.

**Q: What is the difference between this and plain old silicone caulk?**
A: only difference its an adhesive. I used it to attach a Niche onto wood. Also waterproof.
