Fast acting ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a good choice for removing older varnish *by J***R on October 11, 2015* I bought this product to strip varnish off a 110-year old door. It removed a shade of the varnish but not by no means got the substance off. I ding this product one star for not having made clear that it will not work for older varnishes, such as the one I was trying to remove (which may not have been water-borne). I ding it another star for the odor, which was quite unpleasant (like a very strong nail polish remover), and not "low odor" by any means. I ended up buying and finishing the job with another "eco-stripper" that was better and cheaper, with much less odor, too. If you're stripping an old varnish, go for an eco stripper that uses dimethyl-adipate.
