I have read all the Puella Magi manga and spin offs aside from the original series, and this has the best artwork I've seen! I really am not fond of the cover art, but I understand they were trying to set it apart from other PM works- it's even a different size so it doesn't sit flush with all the other PM manga like they all do with one another.It does not follow the exact same storyline as the mobile game, and as far as I can tell it's a slight difference from the anime as well. Themes and major events are the same - I think the manga improved upon the original story and the anime will further improve or clarify it. Can't wait to get the next volume!

Unfortunately since the mobile game was shut down, there's no way to enjoy the source material unless you go to YouTube. The anime in my opinion, was ok. But that's where the manga comes in, it's in the middle ground in terms of covering content. I'm sure the manga won't skip out madoka and homura's sub plot or rush the story so, this manga adaptation will be a much more enjoyable experience. The art style is great too, so that's a plus. If you enjoy the madoka magica series, played magia record, or watched magia record anime and want more then I highly recommend picking this manga up.
