It's a good looking rashguard.The navy blue sides is a good touch so it's not just vanilla simple white shirt.It did a good job from preventing sun burns on this shoulders and body.He just needs to do better job on putting sun blocks on his neck and arms :)Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. It's not made out of the right material to be a rashguard. This is a polyester shirt. Rashguards are silky and stretchy to allow the water to roll right off. This is NOT that. Iplay makes a great one for smaller sizes. The shirt is soft and good quality, not see through at all. It’s loose fitting like a regular tshirt, which works since my son isn’t a fan of the high neck/tight rash guard type. However it was much larger than I expected. My 11 yr old normally wears a 10/12 and the size chart said “true to size,” so I bought L (12). I measured it against a size large UA t-shirt and it is identical, so I recommend going down a size if you’re kid wears 10/12. I think he’d be ok with the length, but it’s just too wide/big for the purpose.
