It adds a touch of neoclassical modernist to the bedroom it's in. It's better around children than many lamps and has already taken many more bumps and falls than a previous 'child friendly' lamp has and survived. With my nearly adult children (calamity and angryangel are the nicknames to give you a clue on how rough life can be lol) around I'm shocked we haven't had a dent yet!
