For specialized use - not quite right for your conventional pool chlorine feeder
This is a rare sort of tablet that doesn't contain cyanuric acid. All of the things called "dichlor", "trichlor", and indeed all conventional pool chlorine tablets contain cyanuric acid. Cyanuric acid is a chlorine "stabilizer" which helps to keep the chlorine from escaping your pool when the sun shines on the water. Tablets containing cyanuric acid are also slow-dissolving, while this tablet dissolves more quickly. If you have an indoor pool, you don't need cyanuric acid at all. It only helps to stabilize pools that are in direct sunlight part of the day.The problem with cyanuric acid is that it doesn't leave your pool unless you change the water, and when it builds up too much, it reduces the sanitizing effect of chlorine. And even worse things happen...The cyanuric acid which is NOT in this product but IS in conventional pool chlorine is also responsible for a common pool stain called "purple haze" which is copper cyanurate. If you use a copper algecide or if your copper pipes, heater, or solar panels corrode from the chlorine's effect upon them, and you have a surplus of cyanuric acid, it combines with the copper in solution and then deposits purple haze on the walls of your pool by the waterline. It's a pretty color but not the one you chose, and it's uneven and will take an acid wash from the pool repair company to remove. What's next is worse: purple crystals form in your pump and jam it. This happened to my pool, and I had to disassemble the pump and clean it out.The solution is to change your water to get rid of that cyanuric acid. That is, if you don't live in drought-stricken California like me. So, I was looking for a way to stop the accumulation of cyanuric acid. So, you might think to put this "CCH" tablet in your pool feeder instead of the usual dichlor or trichlor tablet, but unfortunately it does not work that way. The tablet dissolves too quickly and will both feed too fast and clog your erosion feeder. I tried, and my Pentair 300 feeder eventually got a completely clogged output tube.As you can see, I am having some adventures in pool chemistry :-)What you need if you want to use this CCH tablet is a special feeder with an electronic controller and an ORP sensor to tell it the level of sanitizing power in the pool. "In The Swim" has this on their web site, a $400+ feeder that doesn't come with the controller and sensor, and a $2000 system that is meant to be installed indoors in an equipment room, not outside by your pool, or maybe it's not for a pool at all.It seems that the market for home pools is concentrating on automatic salt chlorination rather than this sort of chlorination, at the moment. A few years ago it was silver and coppper ions. We have sanitization trends and fads. So there isn't a really good home pool controller available to feed this sort of tablet.

Happy to have it but...
...like others have said, the tables dissolve very fast, for me in less than 24 hours in a floater. The floater becomes a slow release rather than a continual release mechanism. Still, one of the only un-stabilized chlorine tabs that I could find and so I will probably continue to buy.

It will work fine that way
I have had problems with too much stabilizer in my pool, leading to my draining 1/2 of the pool water to reduce it to "acceptable" levels. I need a non-stabilized chlorine product to feed my pool. These tablets are NOT a direct replacement for Tri-chlor type tablets. They dissolve far faster. I can use them to raise my chorine levels by placing in a skimmer. But the tablet will be gone in a few hours. It will work fine that way. You cannot use this in a floating feeder or in an inline meter designed for tri-chlor tablets. I tried this and it lead to a blue power on the bottom of the pool.

Works Great ! No CYA
I had an issue with high CYA in the pool. These tabs work great. One tab will raise my chlorine level for a 35,000 gallon pool by 1 ppm for the day. Perfect. The only drawback is if you are used to using trichlor tabs is the hypochlorite tabs dissolves in one day. So depending on pool usage you will need to put one or two tabs in your pool every or every other day.

Did not meet expectations
I was very excited about getting an inorganic chlorine for the pool as it is better for health and it is stronger than store bought chloro tabs. But, there is a blue dye added to it which kind of stains the cement blue and the blue dust noticeably settles at the pool floor. This contains calcium so it makes the water hard and cloudy. Sodium hypochlorite/bleach does not do that...if it that is in solid rather than liquid form, I would buy that instead. But, I am very glad that this company sells this to the public(normally it is commercially used) and it is healthier than trichloro tabs which produce some ammonia also, so I will use during the summer when I am swimming. Wish it wasn't dyed blue though...

Great value
I got 50lbs for $180! Sells for $65 for 10lbs at big box store. Was going to split with neighbor but at this price they ordered their own.

Arrived on time and the quality is excellent. I use these to disinfect the effluent discharged from my residential wastewater treatment plant. These are the same diameter as the Pro-Chlor tablets (2-5/8") yet are twice as thick and seem to work better. They dissolve more slowly but disinfect just as well.
