The thickness is right, the length is right, it just FEELS right. 2 pounds is a lot...but I needed a lot! I bought the natural tan color (like the color of cardboard) and it's just right. When I put one in his cage, he has learned to chew the box down and remove the paper to get to the goodies without spilling them through the cage grates. A nice day's entertainment for him.

This is exactly what I was looking for. When you think of crinkled paper shreds, this is it. The thickness is right, the length is right, it just FEELS right. 2 pounds is a lot...but I needed a lot! I bought the natural tan color (like the color of cardboard) and it's just right. It comes shipped in a box - no bag inside - but that's no big deal. If you want it in a bag, put it in one. I'm just fine with the box. :-) Great product and the price is right!

It is nice fine cut crinkle that will expand a bit with fluffing. For my parrot, I save empty tissue boxes and remove any plastic. I fill them with a mix of treats and small toys, cracked walnuts, peanuts, etc and top with the paper. When I put one in his cage, he has learned to chew the box down and remove the paper to get to the goodies without spilling them through the cage grates. A nice day's entertainment for him.

Due to supply chain issues I have had a hard time finding this in stores. I was happy to find a large quantity at an affordable price on Amazon. The product is great, however the little crinkle pieces are slightly shorter than the version I was buying at the craft store. I have had a bit of an issue with them falling through the holes of some of the larger wire baskets I’ve used them on, but it’s not too big of an issue. Also, when they shipped it, it came in a box instead of a bag. Again, not a big deal but it’s a little harder for me to store the box, a bag would have been easier. Again, not a deal breaker.
