However, if temperatures are below 15 degrees the heat pads will stop working and plants will freeze. So I'd recommend ordering during a warmer period or only if temperatures are closer to 20-30s. **Q: how many sets would be good for a 55g tank? the desc. says just 10+ gallons. 30 plants seems a lot for 10g** A: Keep in mind that there are 8 species, of which there are 30+ stem plants. A single bunch of plants, can have 6-8 stems plants in it (similar to how roses are sold). For a 55 gallon, you should have at least 2 of these bundles but this also depends on the density you want and whether or not you have other decorations like driftwood, rocks, etc. **Q: Are they relatively free of planaria and/or snails? i am most concerned about planaria. i will dip, but i just to know what i am getting into.** A: I received my plants packaged beautifully and pest free. I put them all into a bucket of spring water and let them soak in there for 24 hrs. I kept checking for any signs of snails that I had heard horror stories about on several different blogs. Planaria? Those are those flat worms, right? I have found nothing riding for free in my package. Very nice plants, though. I am please with my purchase.
