That's not to say YOU won't get some duds, just that I did not.I'm also super happy with this mfr's range of available sizes — I felt as if I had some good choice in customizing the insert size to the threaded feet I was using, as well as how far into my project's legs I wanted to go.As far as installing them, I cannot speak to hardwoods right now, but in the soft wood I was using, they were completely painless.
