It's like sandpaper on the bottom of your shoes. You'll end up scratching floors. They make specific products for leather soled shoes. **Q: Will this adhere to a garage floor that gets slippery when wet?** A: If the floor is perfectly clean and dry when you put it down, then probably. If not, then no. I have no problem on a wood slanted surface outside that gets frequently wet. That's actually why I put it out there.
