After replacing them they felt a little gritty and stiff when moving them in all directions but DON'T WORRY if this happens to you it just needs to be broken into. It has been almost 3 months since I put in the replacement and they perform just as good as the original thumbsticks. This may be a bit of a hit or miss for some but the only little detail I noticed was that the pad where your thumb sits is different from the original. Definitely, a different material was used. I believe the original has a more rubber-smooth feel whereas the kit version is more of a plastic-harder rubber. This doesn't bother me since I now use covers on the thumbsticks.
