**Q: how large are the hip belt pockets? One reviewer found the hip belt unusable- I'd love to hear other opinions here, too.**
A: There is only a pocket on one side, not both.  It's small, but I love it.  I can fit my iphone 5 SE and a tube of chapstick in for easy access.

A: Yes!!! I just got mine out and put a briefcase into it I measured the briefcase and an item measuring this will definitely fit in the largest compartment Which is closest to the body
