They work wonderfully. They stay on, protect their feet better than going bare and are fun colors. They rinse and dry very well. We have hosed them off and left to dry in the sun with great results. They have rubber like soles and both boys have worn them without any complaints - so I would say they are comfortable. I like that they stay on - even while they are dancing in and out of the waves. They don't slip off the heel at all which is a big plus. The size range for these shoes was listed at 7.5 to 9, but they would probably be too big for a 7.5 and quite tight for a 9. While the sole would fit a size 9 very well, the top stretchy part might be too tight.
