Review: I knew it was to good to be true. - Well these lights were nice however by me and my own negligence I ended up frying my headlight retainer. Took me a little bit to realize why. But when I read the bottom of the plastic retainer it said 50 watt Max and these lights were 100 Watts so it was just too much power for those retainers to hold. No damage to the headlight replace retainers lights worked as usual. They produce a light blue light, not the weird blue you see from cheap competitors. I am using them on a 2007 Mercedes. Lot of people told me it would screw up the electrical system because of going from 55W per bulb to 100W. Had them in for couple of weeks and so far no apparent issues or visible changes to the wires, leads, socket or even the headlight housing. I was a loyal user of Silverstar bulbs, but replacing those things had become a ritual. Hopefully these will last a little longer. Don't let anyone tell you any different, they are noticeably brighter, at least using Mercedes headlamp housing. Just to compare the Silverstar to the new Hellas and not to look foolish going down the road, I only put one Hella in and had some friends check it out.
