The first question would be: How are you using this jack? We've been working in this industry with different music industry related companies for 40 years. Trust me when I say, we have heard many outlandish ideas, that were just not good. Here's the thing. Whether it is the front end (before the input) or back end (after the power amp), it is really important to keep the number of connections to a minimal. Every time you plug something in, there is a percentage of signal loss. That is part of the reason buffer's are usually needed on pedal boards. The signal degrades from connections to the pedal circuits and it has to be boosted. PLEASE NOTE: Hard wired, correctly soldered, connections are ALWAYS the best choice. This is an alternative for quick connections and individuals who are not comfortable with soldering. The top 2 reasons to use this connector are: 1) A speaker connection (after the amplifier) in a rack panel, wall plate, or floor box 2) A balanced TRS connection of a line level signal. If you are using this before the input of an instrument amplifier, you could easily be interrupting the shield protection of the cables on either side. Especially when there are other electronics close to it. This connector is about 4.5" in length. That is a lot of open area for interference. I hope this helps some of you out there. Standard flat/oval head M3 screws don't fit** A: Hello, We offer a mounting kit for D series connectors under part # PROCRAFT MK4XZP. The screws that are included in the kit are 4-40 X 3/8" flat head screws, it also comes with matching washers and nuts. The kit will allow you to mount 4 connectors. If you have any trouble finding them locally, you could purchase as many as you need from us. This is not available on AMAZON at this moment but I plan to add it soon.
