I only planned to use them for the trip so was excited about the cheap price (not so much the color options...), but cautious about the quality. They actually exceeded my expectations. I also did a ton of research and shopped around so here ya go: The soles are quite padded and comfortable- even for me with very picky feet! I have a narrow foot and was able to sinch them tight to wear without socks perfectly. I normally wear a size 7.5 in Nike tennis shoes but needed a size 6.5 women’s in these. I wore them every single day for 10 days and never had a blister or sore soles. The tread is also great, we walked on wet rocks and stairs, up and down hills, next to waterfalls- never felt slippery. They allow the water to flow right through and then dry over night. I do recommend taking out the soles to dry. I had no problems with rocks getting underneath the soles (a concern I read about). If walking in rain or fresh water, even mud from puddles, you will be just fine to rinse and air dry with soles out. But do be careful with oceans and lakes- after wearing them in the ocean I rinsed them but didn’t think to wash them with soap after- they got quite a funk. If I were home I would’ve thrown them in the washing machine that night. I washed in the machine once I got back and they held up perfectly, and came out smelling better.
