But it's not bad, and it works! If you have a medium to large dog then this leash is not for you. As some reviewers have posted, the locking mechanism isn't all that strong and the whole thing is made out of plastic and feels a little cheap. Any reasonably strong dog will break it. However.. For small dogs and cats this leash is perfect. We have a miniature schnauzer and an even smaller mutt dog and it works great on them. We also have a larger shar-pei and although it has worked so far I wouldn't trust it to hold if she decided to make a break for a nearby cat.As I said before, the quality isn't the greatest but it's totally functional. The leash stop works. The retractor works. The reflector works. And it seems like it'll hold up to the wear and tear that your average dog leash receives. Most of all.. it's cheap. Four stars because of the price and function. Minus one star for the cheap build.
