I'm working on running CAT6 through the house and now I'm going to run fiber alongside.If you have a bunch of switches with empty SFP+ ports then you really should check these out. At $18 for both ends of a 10Gbs connection it's too cheap NOT to do it. It's so much cheaper and simpler than messing with 10G over copper.
