The smallest is a 10". You have to use a collar thru the bumper. I thought maybe we could get away without it and we tried it inside without the collar, and I was able to pull it right over her head. So, luckily, we had a second collar laying around that we designated for the bumper. Best thing ever and so glad someone had the idea to make this!! **Q: I have a 10lb fully grown poodle mix with a 9.5 in neck - what size should I get?** A: Sounds like you would want to go with our up to 10" size. **Q: How wide of a collar will fit through the loops?** A: I can fit a 3/4” wide collar through the loops but I use a spare 1/2” collar and just leave it in the loops and when I am ready to take my dog outside I just put the bumper on rather than taking the dogs collar off and putting it through the five loops. But if the bumper is too loose, you might have to use the collar.
