So here I am buying another pair. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Cool for the boo boo bus *by E***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2014* I have worn a few different Bates boots before, including the Zero Mass 8.0s, and the side zip quarter boots, so I had an expectation of how these would fit and feel. When I opened the box to find that I had accidentally ordered the composite toe boots, I was about to fill out the return form. Just for grins, I tried them on, and was surprised by the fit, especially in the toes. These boots lack the typical unforgiving cramped toe space of protected-toe boots. The sock liner has enough cushion that I haven't yet placed a set of orthotic insoles into the boots. The goretex liner has plenty of cushion as well, and is warm enough for the near-term weather we had in MI last week. The only big downside so far is that with the composite toe, I have already scuffed the leather on the outside of the toes from kneeling down on a scene. The other boots I've had without toe protection have been able to bend against the ground and didn't scrape so easily.I work on an ambulance in a busy urban area, so these boots, like my previous ones, will see plenty of wear, tear, and abuse.
