## Overview

The VKB T-Rudder Pedals Mk. III are high-performance flight sim pedals featuring a steel and aluminum build, a 32-bit ARM controller with USB 2.0 connectivity, and a cutting-edge non-contact MaRS sensor with 0.01° resolution. Designed for comfort and compactness, they fit easily under desks and office chairs, making them ideal for serious sim pilots seeking precision, durability, and space efficiency.

## Description

The T-Rudder Mk. III is the latest in VKB rudder pedal technology. The T-Rudder is less expensive and has a smaller footprint than traditional VKB rudder pedal designs and it has a different motion, but gives the same great result. Your feet move almost vertical, hence, it is more comfortable for a sim pilot to use in combination with an office chair. It's perfect for those pilots who don't want to have a bulky set of pedals under their gaming or work desk. If you have limited space then these are the perfect pedals for you! An important feature of the T-Rudder Pedals is their reaction speed. They are just as fast as using the twist axis on a joystick, but they feel more natural like real aircraft controls.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rock Solid, great for Heli Ops!

These work well. I really like the vertical movement rather than a pivot. I only wish they were a little bit wider, or some kind of extensions on the 'pedal' tubes.

    Really excellent product!

*Updated review for MKIVI just received the MKIV pedals and they were worth the cost of upgrading. These pedals are slightly more bulky than the MKIII. The foot-posts are thicker and the housing is wider, The cam-tension spring can be adjusted to increase the pedals' resistance. It's easy to adjust the spring tension using a terrific online video provided by the manufacturer. The increased resistance is very gratifying -it makes the pedals feel more substantial and more stable. The pedals do not include a detailed manual -just a "quick setup sheet". Fortunately, beyond the cam adjustment, they are plug-and-play.The pedals utilize an ethernet-style cable (it's labeled "Rudder Link Only, NOT FOR ETHERNET" on the MKIII cable...though it sure looks like an ethernet) which routes through a small included USB adapter. The MKIII uses a small adapter called "Tiny Box" but the MKIV has an upgraded adapter called the "Black Box", which has more ports than the Tiny Box. (It's also orange...for some reason :) It seems like the black box is designed to route other VKB peripherals (HOTAS mainly). Unfortunately, the lack of manual for the product and lack of detail to be found on the website leaves me with almost no clue of how the "Black Box" is meant to work, beyond routing the ethernet from the pedals to the USB cable, and into the computer. There's an active forum on the website where consumers and the manufacturer post useful info and tips, so hopefully some more info will be available soon. What REALLY sets the MKIV pedals apart from the MKIII (besides the cam-spring adjustment) is the comfort. The adjustable metal heel-rests are molded to curve under your heel, as opposed to the flat plates on the MKIII. Between the wider foot-posts and the molded heels, these pedals are more comfy to use in socks -whereas I usually wore house shoes while simming with the MKIII.Like the MKIII, the MKIV's overall build quality is superb, especially for a product costing about $250. The construction is all metal and rubber, including the Tiny/Black Boxes -no plastic. Customer support is good. When I wrote to request a manual, they wrote back within a few hours and directed me to the cam adjustment video. Apparently there is a special software to provide a "virtual toe brake" functionality but I haven't experimented with that yet. I hope VKB/Stratojet release more info on the Black Box and software so I can make the most of them.If you see a pair of these pedals available, buy them! Don't hesitate! Their heft, smooth action and comfort make them a joy to use -whether for helicopter or space simming (Elite Dangerous rocks with these!!)***Original MKIII Review***These pedals are extremely close to the feel of real helicopter pedals. They have less travel and real pedals obviously don't spring back to center, but I barely notice it. I have approximately 3000 hours in Bell helicopters and, on my feet, it feels like I've climbed back into the cockpit when I sit down to sim with this set.I can also say that these are of outstanding quality, considering the price. Sturdy, smooth and precise. There are some other high end helicopter sim pedals out there but they cost a lot more. These are a steal, considering the quality and the price.

    Simple, Smooth, Robust, Superb quality.

Using these for Elite Dangerous. Easy assembly, securing two nuts. Easy to adjust to your requirements. All tools included, cables too. Was flying in about 15 min. Absolutely no issues. Flew right out of the box. Super smooth, all ball bearings and heim joints. All Metal Construction. Mine will slide on occasion sitting front half on carpet and rear half on the chairs carpet guard. No toe brakes, (whatever they are). Optional cam profile with less of a center detent, supposedly for helo flying, (have not tried). These Are Nice!
