Review: Proverbial Knife through butter - Pleasently surprised wasn't really expecting too much TBH. That said though it worked well. Patience is the key word here, take your time and it cuts really well, once you've got that sorted it's really easy to use. So for the price you pay it's good value for money. It looks flimsy just outa the box but does the job. Just remember to clean the "blade" regularly as there is a build up quickly and as you'd imagine can smell a bit cutting through.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you bend the to form a desired shape for cutting channels?**
A: Would not recommend trying to bend the wand as I think it would damage the heating element which is inside the cutter.

**Q: Is it wireless? Does it run on a battery or needs to be plugged in while using?**
A: It's electric  but it's useless, it snapped after 10 minutes use. 
Honestly..10 minutes. 
Not fit for purpose

**Q: Do i need a mask and goggles to use this? do i need a ventilated room? is it safe to use without those things?**
A: It depends what your trying to cut into but most things I would recommend a mask and ventilation. Goggles arnt a necessity but again it depends what you're doing but better safe than sorry

**Q: Would this cut through the brim of a felt hat please. If not is there any tool that would apart from a craft knife?**
A: SORRY I cannot answer it.  BUT FOR FOR YOUR INFORMATION. The cutter or heated probe part (as you can see on the image) is very long and slender and is ONLY DESIGNED to melt polystyrene. I suggest you ask for help &  information at your local DIY Store. Where they can see the material and you can look at different types of cutters. Good luck.

Pleasently surprised wasn't really expecting too much TBH. That said though it worked well. Patience is the key word here, take your time and it cuts really well, once you've got that sorted it's really easy to use. So for the price you pay it's good value for money. It looks flimsy just outa the box but does the job. Just remember to clean the "blade" regularly as there is a build up quickly and as you'd imagine can smell a bit cutting through.

I used this to carve 3cm thick polyurethane foam for a tool box insert. It leaves a few scorch marks, as expected, but it's easy to handle and did the job. A cardboard template made the job straightforward and some sort of guide is a necessity for a decent result. You need to take time to practice and go slowly; I used a damp kitchen towel to occasionally wipe the cutting part. It gets hot so take care not to burn yourself or any surrounding material.
