I am not quite ready for hearing aids yet but I did need something to make watching a movie or tv more enjoyable. I read all the reviews for this amplifier and decided to take a chance.This device works well for me.This is a good alternative to the much more expensive devices.I would think that it would work well for individuals with moderate or serious hearing loss .It fits comfortably and is well made.No whistling or background noises on the first try. Now, i can hear clearly and at a normal volume my TV and my beloved music but best of all i can carry on conversations again and is not always guessing what people are saying. I was looking for my husband who has age related hearing loss in his right ear. He needed to have the television volume in the 60 to 70 range or use his Wireless TV ears to watch television . We are traveling to visit our grandchildren and I felt so badly that he wouldn't be able to hear them. I came across this hearing device and I ordered this for him.It arrived earlier than I expected, well packaged and in it's own nice case. It felt extremely solid and well made. The instructions are simple and I DO mean simple and easy to follow. The moment that he placed it in his ear he could hear me speaking from another room and he was hearing the television at the 32 volume level, which was comfortable for me too. Moreover he said wearing this can hardly hear noise feedback or whistles.A great product and the price compared to hearing aids is unbelievable.I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to hear better and not pay thousands of dollars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Volume And Controls. Best I've Tried For Under $60 *by K***E on July 12, 2019* This is by far the best amplifier I have used and I have used a lot of different brands. I thought that I had found the best for me in the Laiwen so bought several so one would always be available., but this one is even better for me because it has about 25% more volume. It's more expensive, but I hear better than with the Laiwen. I have done comparison testing while watching TV and there is no question the volume is better on this one.I just ordered a third for that reason.Before use, charge with the included cable.You need to be aware that the amplifier comes without the earbud attached. The earbud is attached to a tube, which must be cut then attached to the amplifier. It is a good idea, you can size for your ear, but it takes you aback if you don't expect this.Since the other amplifiers I have fit me fine, I used one of them as a model to determine how long tube should be after the cut.Forcing the tube onto the amplifier is a little difficult, but it can be doneSeveral different size earbuds are included.
