I was having a problem with my transmision slipping from 1st to 2nd and this would fix it. Turns out the band adjustment screw had loosened up and I really didnt need this part. I fixed the loose band problem and installed this part anyway since I bought it and it arived. Im glad I did because even though I fixed the slipping gear problem, this part improved the overall shifting of my transmision. It gives it a slightly firmer shift, more like a truck should shift and less like a car shifts. This part cures the classic dodge shuttle shift problem also. desertcart sells it cheaper than your parts houses and free shipping is a plus. Came a little earlier than they promised. If you buy and change this part, buy the matching transducer for it too. I got both parts for $86 vs. $145 from a parts supplier. Thqnkw desertcart, keep up the good work. Review: You need to make sure you install this piece correctly ... - You need to make sure you install this piece correctly. The original part only has one groove the flange can go around. This unit has two. If you do not put the part in the top groove it will not seat correctly into the port and will not work. Put it in the top groove and squeeze until you hear a distinct clicking sound. I made the mistake and had to do the job twice.
