The inner lining does not inhibit fit and help with cold.The Jean have stretch fibres which greatly help as you can order normal size, the stretch material (not baggy) allow padding not be restricted.The ankle is tailored Not boot cut, I wear armour boots and they are fine Not baggy more stylish.I have other denim armour Jean but my experience is if they are Not stretch you need the next size up to allow for armour padding. I followed the advice of some reviews, to buy one size larger but for me that was a mistake - they are too big. A belt would keep them up but the legs are far too wide so the knee protection would not be kept in place during a slide.
