Don't let the photo scare you, it looks like the old style Otterboxes, but its not that bulky.I love the metal ring on it & can't wait to order a magnetic car holder for it!The red is true red....not maroon.Update: 7/8/2021 still love the case, but the red fades. If you're looking for a long term, true color case. This is not it. Stick to Ottorbox or another top name brand. If you're ok with switching cases every few months, then this will work for you. It will look nice for 6 months tops with daily use. Less if you're rough with it. But for the price, that may be okay for you....I like consistency and longevity. It's slim and doesn't feel bulky in my pocket, and the ring is equally slim to not feel out of place when not using it. I love the built in feature to attach to a magnetic car mount, now I don't have to worry about putting a metal plate inside my case. Tragedy struck a couple weeks ago when my phone slipped out of my hand. In my attempt to catch it, I accidentally flung it all the way down my wooden stairs landing on my concrete garage floor. To my surprise, my phone was perfectly fine! The screen was intact and the phone seems to still function normally. However, the ring broke off of the case, but otherwise suffered no damage. I decided to order a new case since I've become used to having the ring as a kickstand.
