The hair took on a steely gray color. However I liked the result with the Maison system. It is a three step regimin. Clarify shampoo, applied to damp hair. I left it on for five minutes. Followed by a regular shampoo that moisturizes and then a conditioner. The issue with the purple shampoo is there is a greater margin of error. I recommend Maison 276.
