I wanted to see if it was truly any better than the $40 ones you can buy. This is 800xs better. it heats up fast and it isn't as messy as people say as long as you figure out how to catch the cotton candy once it starts coming out. It does not come with a cover. the cover is sold separately at $80 which i think is absolutely ridiculous when this cost so much. I was lucky enough to snag one of these on deep discount because it was an open box item. Parts of it were already put together by whoever had it first which was probably a good thing because the directions were horrible. luckily it wasn't too hard with a little bit of common sense to assemble. we will be using this for a 5 year old birthday in a few weeks so i will update m,y review when we have used it for an extended time. so far it has only been used about 5 times and only to make cotton candy for maybe 10 to 15 minutes at a time.
