My mothers did not so I am assuming that they were just unlucky as you can't expect every package they sent to arrive in perfect condition if you sending so many but ours was beautifully packaged and arrived really quick. She was presented with it this morning and was totally thrilled with it. Having looked at it myself, it is beautifully painted and well constructed. Glad I went with the higher end of the budget as I think the lesser priced plastic ones might not have been as nice. This one is made of wood and is painted on all sides, even underneath and at the back. It was easy to construct and set time.
