i have mine hooked to two heavy diesel 950CCA batteries on my rv. it kicks on and off appropriately. i have not not had any issues with it except it kept kicking off when i first hooked it up and after renaming it several times realized it was a ground short at my distribution panel. so it works great.

Q: Can this handle quick burst of power for example a car amplifier for my room?

Yes it can. (Kinda) depending on power consumption rate. Short bursts of 400 to 600 watts will get your amp pretty warm but it will suffice. I recommend hooking up your amp to a battery then this powering the battery. Preferably a headway battery bank. It will take every bit of amperage from this supply and be more than enough to power a car amp. (1000) watt max depending on battery bank

Q: Can this power supply be used on a 12v car amplifier,12v EQ,to run a pair of speakers inside the house?

depends on how many amps it pulls but that is what these things are made for they will work as a battery charger or a power supply and also will act as both if you have a small sla battery with this connected to it and run your amp and eq from that. Im doing some thing similar to that useing solar set up here at the house it will charge my batteries and respond to what ever load that comes up.If you go with the battery method make sure its a sla battery for a wheelchair or somthing in that nature they are sealed batteries and not vented so its safe to keep them inside the living environment. Ide recommend something around a 20amp/hour battery for something like that. maybe a UB12180 or the UPG UBCD5745 shipped and sold by amazon i have this battery and i can pull about 12 amp off it for about 12 minutes alone just add this charger and your set up.
