## Description

Non Absorbent Acrylic Primer from Michael Harding is a revolutionary medium for painters. It creates a strong, flexible working surface on linen, wood, MDF, and over standard primed canvases. Formulated to prevents the oil from being drawn out of oil paint which dulls color. It creates a strong bond to layers of paint, with just enough tooth to not be greasy. Oil color remains true and paintings are more vibrant. 500ml jar of non Absorbent Acrylic Primer.

Review: Best of both worlds - I’m a fan of this primer! I believe it does what it says. I don’t like how other acrylic gessos have a dry, chalky feeling when painted on. This does not absorb the oil from your paint nearly as much. It’s also easier and quicker to work with than oil primer. I do like the feel of an oil primed panel, but I don’t like having to wait for days for it to dry. This primer is sort of the best of both worlds. Dries quicker than oil primer and is less absorbent than other acrylic primers.
Review: Better and safer than lead gesso for oil paintings - The only thing to watch for is screwing the lid back on. Make sure you wipe any excess gesso residue from inside the rim of the lid and on the top edges of the open container, otherwise it will harden shut so that it is nearly impossible to open. This should be done each time when closing this product. Second is by far a better substitute for oil painting gesso, rather than the lead gesso for oil painting.

I’m a fan of this primer! I believe it does what it says. I don’t like how other acrylic gessos have a dry, chalky feeling when painted on. The only thing to watch for is screwing the lid back on.
