Within about 15 minutes I was able to learn to powerslide and hockey stop on regular concrete and smooth asphalt. I tried them on the local outdoor inline smooth concrete court and they are a little slick for my liking. I can easily hockey stop but loose a bit of traction hitting a corner at speed. i have been skating 5 miles at a time for about 2 weeks, haven't rotated tho I probably should, they are holding up well but have some flat spots. For the price, I will definitely be buying another set of these when my current setup wears down. These wheels are a decent price for being able to experiment and see what works for you; the only complaint that I have and it may have nothing to do with the wheels, is the presence of a small bit of squirriliness that may be due to the "cone shape" and engineering of the wheel........I have read that wheels like this need a short break in period to be optimal, i.e., wear them down a bit and Bobs your uncle.
