It's very light weight, keep that in mind. If you have used some fountain pen with metallic body, and like it that way, this one will not work for you. The plastic material of the barrel also feels cheap and looks like it will break into pieces with one good fall. I've added the photo of a news I copied using preppy. You can see that the ink is clear with no smudge.
