Geek heaven.I work as a librarian by trade, and I'm always on the hunt for unique purchases. I want to be a professional, but I'm fortunate to have a lax dress code and environment that encourages individuality. My lanyard has Doctor Who, and when I saw these Super Mario earrings, I HAD to have them. When I got them in the mail , the next day I put them on going to work. The first thing my husband said when he saw these was "Well played."Throughout the day, I got loads of compliments and big smiles from my patrons. They seem more at ease asking me, the lady with the plants eating her ears, questions than some stuffy conservatively dressed librarian. So hats off to you, clay earrings. I think you increased my productivity for the day.I went to Target afterwards and was again complimented by the Starbucks barista and my cashier. Another customer asked me about them, what they were. These earrings are a great way to make new friends.Now, on to the earrings themselves.They are clunky feeling, but light. I really can't stand having heavy earrings in, but these aren't bad at all. A few times I forgot I was wearing earrings until someone reminded me.I don't know the material of the earring studs, but my money is on cheap studs- don't go looking at silver. My ears, which normally hurt with costume jewelry, again weren't bothered.The earrings are made of clay and have a light springy feeling to them.I really can't think of any negatives about these- I kind of want to wear them every day. They made my work day better and brighter, and I think made my patrons happier too.* I did get this at a slight discount for my opinion, but I would totally pay full for these. In fact, I'm looking to see if the company has anything similar!

Growing up on Super Mario Bros I just had to have these earrings. They are a lot bigger than I expected, but not too big by any means. The detail is great and it looks like someone put all the different pieces of polymer on by hand. For those fashion conscious who are a bit shy to wear something so obviously geeky(in a cool way), it is hard to tell they are the piranha plant unless you are up close because they are biting your ear and the back of them is turned to the viewer, making it look like you are wearing a generic flower-in-a-pot earrings. It's not until you get up close that study them that you can tell they are the piranha plant, and then they become even more cool (in a geeky way). I think they are very clever, with the plant biting my ear! If they were obviously piranha then they are something I would be hesitant to wear on a daily basis but since it is harder to tell I think I can pull it off for casual occasions.

Should I have any issues with the product in the future (falling apart, breaking easily, losing color faster than one would expect), I will update this review.These are super cute, and they're good quality! Perfect for the nerd person in your life who wants people to have a double-take at their ears, lol. They're not too heavy, which I was concerned about when ordering, and since they're handmade, each one is unique. I'd definitely recommend these. Just mind if you've got allergies, the description doesn't say if they're nickel-free or not, and since I'm not allergic I can't say if these will have a problem.

As such a huge video game fan, particularly Mario, these are AWESOME! They were made very well, I have no issues with them. Actually they even have a super power! They help me determine whether someone is lame or cool. Example: If someone says, what are those supposed to do, it's obvious they are lame. But if they say wow cool piranha plant earrings, I know they are about to become my new best friend! :) See? Super cool super power! Saving me from making lame friends :D Anyways, back to these earrings, they are durable enough I'm not worried about them falling apart, light enough I don't have to worry about my ears falling off, and cute enough that I feel confident and happy while wearing them! They took a little while to arrive but I knew they would and they were certainly worth the wait!

These are just too cute!!!! I have wanted them for over a year now and I finally decided to go for it and I am so happy I did. These are very well made and definitely handcrafted, there are some spots you can even see the texture from the fingerprints! They are both perfectly matched size wise, which can be hard with handmade things. These were packaged very well and arrived quickly. They are just adorable when on and feel very sturdy for clay. They aren't heavy at all either which is very nice!!! I received a discount for this product and agreed to provide my unbiased opinion in this review. This product is absolutely adorable. The design is flawless and went great with my daughters mario themed birthday party. My biggest complaint would be the hardware. After one use the ear post bent extremely easily. If it was reinforced it would be better. I would also recommend the seller become an authorized amazon seller so it wouldn't take so long to receive the product.
