My son is very picky and love chess boards and pieces. He wanted a set he could take when travelling, but didn't want plastic cheap looking ones. He selected this and we were very, very pleased when we got it. It definitely surpasses our expectation, particularly considering the price. We got three. I had a problem with one, and wrote to the customer service. They replied promptly, and the problem got fixed beyond my requests. I saw that few reviews express dissatisfaction with the board: I am sure that if they had told the customer service, their board would have been replaced quickly and at no cost. My 3 boards are perfect. I TOTALLY recommend this product! If you have to give it as a gift, it looks way more expensive than it is. ### ⭐ Very Poor! Read this before you buy (In case there is absolutely NO alternative) *by S***H on December 15, 2015* Unplayable, literally. The board is defective, the pieces are scratched everywhere. The board doesn't fully flatten up, it actually leaves a size-able gap in the middle, sometimes even enough to knock a pawn out of position. There's also a crack inside the board that bothers me.
