The accessories-washcloth, comb, adoption certificate had been ripped out of the inside of the box and loosely thrown back in on top of the toy. The box had been re-taped shut. It was obviously previously opened and was probably a returned item. It is too late to get another one now, as it is a Christmas gift. It was chosen by my 5-year-old daughter to give to her brother for Christmas - otherwise I would return it. Very disappointing.
