I literally can't palate standard commercial brand toothpastes. (There are some non-mint flavors out there, but they are not very pleasant either.) Thankfully, Tom's of Maine understands a toothpaste does not need to knock you over the head with the mint. And even more thankfully, they have WINTERMINT. Wintermint, is the only mint (not really mint) that I actually don't mind. I can put a reasonable amount of toothpaste on my brush, and happily brush a full two minutes without gagging or shivering, and my teeth, gums, and taste buds haven't been happier. I've been using this toothpaste for over 20 years and have never looked back. Unfortunately Wintermint is very difficult to still find in stores. Thankfully, Amazon still carries it.
