I over-inflate the tires a little and then bleed the excess air out. My Toyota Sienna is 35 PSI, my Honda Civic is 30 PSI, and my spare is 60 PSI. Review: Well made. And I have faith that it is accurate. - The hose and metal components appear to be very strong and of high quality. As others have mentioned, the hose is black (not like the photo) which does not matter one bit to me. The dial is pretty big with large, easy to read numbers. I have used this gauge on at least 12 different tires and it works great. The nozzle fits the tire valves perfectly. No leaks while checking pressure. There is one thing about this gauge that made me consider giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The cover on the dial appears to be made of low-quality plastic, the type of plastic that scratches and cracks easily. I have a feeling that if I were to drop it on a concrete floor, the dial cover might crack or shatter. In spite of this, just from holding and using the gauge you get the feeling that it is well made. When it comes to things like tire gauges, I don't mind spending a little more for quality. So for me, it is worth every penny. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great tool. *by D***D on November 18, 2012* great product. did not check dial calibration against a standard, but seemed accurate. tire stem nozzle seems to be machined from single block of aluminum, making it quite easy to make a good seal. hose is a little stiff, but will last forever, so no points down on this. hose markings indicated hose rated for 300 psi. rotational fittings on the analog dial and on the nozzle adapter are convenient. other reviews have stated both black and clear plastic dial housing seem cheap. in my opinion the black and clear plastic housing seem well made with close tolerances for a cost effective made in ~2012 part, but the native housing is certainly not shop or garage rugged. the rubber cover (moroso 89590) should be considered mandatory for those who want the part to last.
