Bottom line..... one fuel can will go a long way. I plan to take two with me for a week of shore lunches in Canada in June and that should be more than enough. **Q: whats the largest diameter pan you can safely use on this without the butane cartridge getting hot and exploding? also is there a manual online anywhere?** A: I've done a fair amount of online research in the past week or so, and my guess is that the reason they try to limit the size of the pan/pot used --by placing a "lip" on each of the supports-- is precisely to discourage users from putting containers on the stove that hang out over the butane canister. I could not locate the Instruction Manual for this specific stove (Gas One GS-3700) online, but I did find the Manuals for the GS-3000 & GS-3800DF units. The GS-3800DF is mechanically identical in terms of size to the GS-3700, while the GS-3000 is an older model that is a little bit larger, but still very similar. In fact, in those two manuals the manufacturer explicity states: "Do not use a pan larger than 10.5" as this will cover the fuel compartment and cause the canister to overheat. (Fig. 1)" "Fig. 1" shows a diagram of an oversized pot hanging out over the stove's canister compartment. The diagram has a large "X" superimposed over it indicating "DON'T DO THIS!". I've read various similar statements on other product pages & manufacturer websites as well. So, the manufacturers are most definitely concerned about preventing the use of oversized pots/pans because that could definitely cause the butane canister to overheat. **Q: Bit confused here, some say this comes with a storage case others say it does not. Can anyone tell me yes or no? Thank you in advance.** A: I bought mine here and, yes, it did come with a storage case. The case is plastic and is handy. I don't know why Amazon does not state this in the product description but I do know they do a lot of "cut and paste" when listing products and sometimes the product source varies. In the side pictures, notice the one with the stove and the apparent box it comes in. There is a handle shown in the box view. That is the handle of the plastic carry case inside the box, so if it does not come with a carry case, you can send it back at no cost if you want to. I believe you will get a case and I know you will love this stove. I use mine for when the power goes out. Some Walmarts carry the gas cannisters and some do not. **Q: Is this stove approved for indoor use?** A: For insurance purposes, the mfg. must state “not for indoor use”. However, millions of Asians use this type of stove for cooking. I, have used a butane stove for cooking for about ~20 years, and, I live in a small two room apartment.
