I put it on a 1972 El Camino SS to replace an old, sticky, plastic aftermarket steering wheel. I ordered this wheel with the black steering column spacer and the SS horn button. Everything went on easily with no problems. I would highly suggest getting a steering wheel pulling and a lock plate compressor tool. The only slightly difficult part is trying to hold the wheel and the horn ring in alignment with the spacer while screwing in the Allen screw and hit all the holes at once.Over all, this is a very well made steering wheel. The wheel itself has a aluminum back with finger grooves and you screw on the front wooden part. So the back is fairly universal and you add on whatever look you want. Be cool if they would sell just the screw on front parts so you could change up the looks depending on your mood. Time will tell if it will hold up well, but I think it will even in the hot Southern sun where I live.
