Vintage vegetable tan brown leather has that dark and sultry look about it. This Visconti product is made from the finest leather and has that wonderful new leather aroma. Leather items may have wrinkles, scars, scratches that are inherent characteristics and natural beauty of the hide. This is strong, high quality leather and with its smooth polished surface and distressed antique finish, there's no doubt that this messenger bag has plenty of attitude. If you covet the look of old, comfortably worn-in leather you won't have to wait the years it takes for the look to develop naturally as the leather has been specially prepared so that it takes on that much coveted, vintage effect much more quickly. The surface is designed to scratch easily but these marks will gently blend in over time adding to the unique character of the bag. The long adjustable strap enables the bag to be worn either over-the-shoulder or hands-free across-the-body. Each product comes with its own Visconti dust bag. This is a big bag with good capacity and will comfortably accommodate a4 sized note books and files. There are plenty of compartments and pockets to organize contents. The long adjustable strap is made from leather topped hardwearing polyester and has a sliding rubber shoulder grip for comfort when carrying heavy loads. The interior of the bag is fully lined and the main flap is luxuriously lined with suede. Although not specifically designed for laptops, this bag is strong enough to carry a small laptop or iPad. I'm a soon to be graduated college student and decided it was time to upgrade to a more professional look for laptop transportation. There are an enormous amount of pockets and zips for storage and you can find a place for any nick-knack. The bag feels sturdy, not overly so like a canvas bag, but I don't fret over it every second of use. The leather is not too thin, nor too thick and the stitching is superb. The size is also perfect. I'm 5'2 and a slender individual, but the bag doesn't look like it could eat me. It can also hold my 13' laptop, book, small notebook and kindle fire comfortably in the main compartment. My only minor complaint is the strap. It wasn't as sturdy as I was anticipating the polyester would make it, but I have no doubt it will uphold to my abuse. Also the shoulder pad is entirely unusable for me. Again 5'2. It looks a bit awkward, trapped down by the side of the strap, but for the rest of the bag I can live with it. Review: Beautiful Workmanship + Highest Quality Materials = Phenomenal Value! - I bought this to replace my old, worn out Kenneth Cole leather messenger bag and was quite surprised at this bag's superior quality of leather, hardware and workmanship. There are numerous zippered interior pockets (diminutive but ample for my needs - pocketbook, billfold, leather gloves, notepad, sunglasses case, keys, etc.) and the phone/pda pocket is perfectly sized for my iPhone, however those with larger phones or notepads will find it too small to fit them. While there is no carry handle I simply shortened the shoulder strap and use it to grab the bag in a hurry. The only defect in the bag's design is that the shoulder pad is located on a part of the strap where, if you shorten the strap significantly, it is impossible to re-position the pad to the middle of the strap where it could actually function as a shoulder pad between your shoulder and the strap, so it's basically useless. The leather is high quality and very attractive, as is the brass hardware and even the stitching. Overall a fantastic value for the money, and frankly is worth more than its price.

Just received this messenger bag, and am amazed by the quality at this low price. The leather is soft, with a broken in look that is very appealing. There's plenty of room, will fit a 13" laptop (my macbook fits well, but without a protective sleeve), and has plenty of pockets for papers. All in all, a great buy-recommended.
