Review: Broken part - Dehydrator fantastic for making jerky. But unfortunately the plastic tray to dehydrate fruit came broken. It is warped and not fit for purpose. Can just this part be replaced??
Review: heating - I brouht this item but was concerned because on the instructions it stated it had to be placed on a fire proof work top as i was not sure if my work tops were or are fire proof i sent it back to be on the safe side i have brought this to owners attention and feel this should be added to the advert and made clear .I was not happy that they felt they had to test it before refunding why test it when it had not been take out the box only the instructions so desertcart have to refund me .i would not buy again from this company .these are my personal views and experience .

A: No it doesn’t 
Wish it had as I’m a novice at this ! ( first ever dehydrator)
I’ve looked on the internet for temps & times.
Bit of trial & error!!
 Not always successful, but generally ok. 
Love the machine, would be great if they gave a small booklet with recorded times & heat

**Q: Are the shelves plastic or metal?**
A: Metal wire mesh. I am pleased with the quality of them.

**Q: Are leather trays and plastic mesh inlays available for this machine ?**
A: I have never heard of a leather inlay unless you mean a silicon sheet to make fruit leather ? I use an oven liner available from Sainsburys which I trim to size. Cheaper and just as efficient as Excaliber Para Flex Sheets.

Lasted just over a year and now will not power on. Checked fuse etc, to no avail. Certainly do not recommend.
