A: Maybe your strap is too tight.
 You should be able to put a finger between the strap and your foot.  
Since you already have tenderness, put some moleskin on the strap until your skin feels better.

A: Don't buy from a seller who ships from China, only purchase from Sellers who actually have a physical store and their Amazon.com name is the same as their brick and mortar store name.  fakes won't have a footbed that says made in germany
