Helmet is comfortable without it. Wrists- some reviews show them being worn upside down and on the wrong hand, my picture will show you the top view of my left guard. (Colored side down, Velcro up, thumb placed in the hole when guard is completely open) these have the shims on top and bottom which I really like but some may find the top one is unnecessary. They fit great, and are fully adjustable. Elbow pads- slide them on and strap them down, pretty standard, they fit great. I have average sized arms for my height, most of my weight is my lower body, but they do stretch a lot and I put them on my 5 foot 10 hubby and he could wear them comfortably. Knee pads- I have big thighs, and very muscular calves and these are the only things that I’m close to the max size on but I do still have plenty of room should I need to expand them. But if you also have wider calves and thighs you might need a size up, I have about an inch of wiggle room. (I wear a 1x in shorts, 18/20in pants and 8/8.5 in shoes for reference) Another thing is the knee pads feel a little strange when on and your leg is straight, but when skating and your knees are bent properly they are not even noticeable.
