He absolutely loved that chair, but after a few years of use it broke one day while he was standing on it, misusing it at a stool. He was heartbroken that we couldn't fix it and had to throw it away, so I knew we'd have to find him another foldable chair. I looked at the dimensions of many folding chairs for kids here on desertcart and many of them seemed really small. Since this was for a kid just shy of six years old, I wanted to find something that could accommodate him for at least a couple years. This Minions chair by Kids Only, Inc seemed to be at least several inches taller than many of the other chairs I'd considered, so that was a major plus. Once it arrived, the chair was considerably heavier than I would have expected, which I was really happy about. The little bit of heft makes it feel really sturdy and well-made. Although I wouldn't allow him to use it as a stool, my boyfriend's son could probably stand on it without us having to worry about the seat breaking underneath him. The folding mechanisms seem very well-made even though they're made of plastic. Also, the fabric is of decent thickness and feels tightly wrapped around the rods of the chair, which makes me feel like the seat won't be all stretched out in a month's time. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this little chair. My boyfriend's son absolutely adores it and says it's better than his old chair. And for only $12, I'd say that I got more bang than I deserved to get for the buck I paidβ€”this chair is a steal! I had been expecting to pay $20-30 since that's what many of the other chairs I was looking at were costing. Fortunately, I feel I found something that's well-made, of sufficient size for a 6-year-old, and was incredibly inexpensive.
