As most of my things are gray, black and white, I decided this would be OK for me. The rug is SOFT, very soft and looks natural, I have a real steer hide rug, next to each other it looks great, although I DID NOT purchase this as a rug but I wanted to make cushion covers with a steer hide design. This was perfect!!! Easy to sew. The backing is great! I made 4 cushions for the price of 1 steer hide cushion!!!! I had more than half the rug left over so I trimmed the edges in the same shape as the original and put it on the floor near my real one!
