Review: Genuinely Prestige! But buy a newer model.. - It’s a genuine product. These last a lifetime (of course silicone ring needs replacement every five years). Never wash in a dishwasher, handles can corrode (and replacement after 15 years might not be available). Hawkins or Prestige (or Butterfly) is a matter of personal preference as to how lead operates. Hawkins lid is non forgiving to slightest dents, Prestige (or Butterfly) is. Newer model (with dip in the lead to capture froth) is even better.
Review: Useful pressure pan - My two other pressure cookers are cylindrical and accommodate stacked inserts (so I can use them to pressure-cook several items at a time). This pressure cooker is a pressure pan, not designed for stacked inserts. I knew this when I bought it so I was not disappointed, although like other reviewers, I found this pressure pan somewhat smaller than expected. But it's a great size for about 2-3 cups (uncooked) of most dals. I like that you can prepare your sauces or spice base, add the uncooked lentils and water, and cook the whole thing directly in the pot. It also comes to full pressure very, very quickly. Overall very sturdy and cleans nicely in my dishwasher.

**Q: Can you please tell me if this is aluminium or stainless steel**
A: Stainless Steel 👌

**Q: What is the minimal amount of liquid needed for the pressure pan.  I have several recipes that use a very small amount of liquid**
A: Even though it is low volume it is a wide bottom pan.  If I were cooking something with a small volume of fluid I would get a smaller bottom but deeper pan.  Another thing I do for small quantities is I put what I am cooking in a small stainless steel bowl and put it in the larger pan with water and cook it that way.  Some have bowls with lids but I do not and it works just fine.  I hope this helps.  Have a wonderful day.

**Q: Is the safety valve of this pressure cooker fixed or pops up and down based on pressure?**
A: The safety valve does not remain fixed. When all the dry air is expelled and the moist air (pressure) starts to build up the valve raises up. After the cooking is done (for e.g after 3 whistles) you turn off the stove and allow the pressure to decrease. After the pressure inside the cooker is come down the valve comes down. So, the valve actually acts as an indicator of the presence or absence of pressure.

**Q: Can anyone post couple of pictures of 5L deep pressure pan (in and out)with measurements?**
