They really helped took off the edge of the hard pavement and made my walk so much more enjoyable.The only thing I did do was take out old shoe lining and cut them a little bit to fit my shoe in the front area of the shoe. There are guides on the back of the lining so you can cut for a perfect fit in your shoe. They feel better than the Dr Scholl's. I've tried others & these seems to be better overall. I've used them in my running shoes & my Sketchers work shoes & both seem to work well. I ordered the yellow ones in size 8.5-10. I wear a size 9 1/2 D in men's shoes & didn't have to cut them but I could have cut just a little bit off but not necessary. I don't have an arch so It provides a little arch but doesn't cause any issues which I usually have a problem with.
